BIKE CREW
Mountain Bike Rotorua - Hosting - Permanent negotiable 3-5 days per week - $25+ per hour​

 

We’re looking for energetic and adaptable individuals to join our Bike Crew at Mountain Bike Rotorua!

As a member of the Bike Crew, you’ll be at the heart of our operations across Waipa, Tawa, and Skyline. You’ll help ensure our visitors have a safe, fun, and memorable time on the trails while maintaining the highest standards of service. Your day might include assisting customers, conducting basic bike checks, or working closely with the team to ensure smooth site operations.

The Mountain Bike Rotorua whānau (family) is one that was born from an ethos of ensuring that every experience is always about people. Our professional and personable crew follow traditional Māori values of Kaitiakitanga (guardians of place and people), Manaakitanga (building integrity and strength in each other), Whanaungatanga (creating lasting relationships with all those whose paths we cross) and Kotahitanga (coming together and moving forward as one).

What You’ll Do

• Deliver outstanding customer service.

• Perform safety checks and ensure bikes are trail-ready.

• Provide helpful advice on trails and biking gear.

• Operate our retail and rental point-of-sale systems.

• Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and professional environment.

What We’re Looking For

• A team player with a great attitude.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Flexibility to work across different sites.

• Interest in biking and outdoor activities.

• Familiarity with the Whakarewarewa Forest trails is a plus.

Health and Safety

• Adopt a positive and focussed approach to health and safety in the workplace, to ensure active steps are taken to ensure own wellbeing and wellbeing of others.

• Follow all MBRS health and safety practices, systems and processes.

• Carry out required reporting for hazards, accidents and incidents.

• Continually seek to isolate and eliminate hazards.

• Wear all required PPE
